Marize Helmy

Marize Helmy, Esq. is a Partner at The Manna Helmy Law Group, formerly known as Michael A. Manna & Associates. Marize leverages her extensive experience assisting families with Estate Planning, Guardianships and Elder Law matters with this firm since 2006 as a paralegal. She obtained her bachelor's degree from Fordham University and Juris Doctor from SUNY School of Law. Since she teaches social workers on the topics relating to Ethical issues within the Elder Law and Estate Planning world, Mrs. Helmy is often involved in complex issues, referred to her by professionals in the Elder Law community who trust her tact and skill in navigating difficult family dynamics.

Assessing a client's goals is a special skill and Marize is keen on creating an asset protection plan specific to a client's needs. Whether it be securing and affording the right long term care plan, sheltering assets, reducing death taxes, establishing supplemental needs trusts, or simply preparing a basic estate plan, she is proficient in these areas. She is also experienced in complex tax planning using irrevocable grantor trusts. Clients not only appreciate her vast knowledge, but also her extraordinary ability to communicate in a clear and simple manner, helping break down sophisticated legal concepts into basic approachable terms. As a valued advisor and empathetic counselor, she is often entrusted by her clients with the fiduciary duties of power of conservator, guardian, executor or trustee.

Marize is a member of New Jersey State Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the Bergen County Bar Association, is a member of the Board of Trustees for Ramapo College and also serves on the Board of a charitable organization. Mrs. Helmy has been honored by Thomson Reuters as a New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2020, 2021 and 2022 and 2023.
