A Team of Experienced Advisors
The founder of our firm, Michael A. Manna, has over 30 years experience in the practice of estate planning and elder law. He is a leader and innovator in these fields and knows how to use the law to achieve his clients’ goals.
Mr. Manna is a member of the faculty of the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education, where he volunteers his time to educate other lawyers and paralegals. Mr. Manna is also licensed by the State of New Jersey to teach social workers, nursing home administrators, assisted living administrators and case managers. He has taught at several adult education programs in New Jersey for over thirty years. He has also trained financial planners and account representatives from the nation’s leading brokerage and investment firms in the finer points of estate planning and elder law.

Our Staff Members
Ian Tanis
Ian Tanis is a paralegal with 14 years of experience in such areas as Medicaid planning, asset preservation, VA benefits and foreclosure/real estate transactions. He graduated from Champlain College in Paralegal Studies in 2007 and studied and worked for firms in Vermont, Maryland and New Jersey.
Brian Carlson
Brian Carlson is a paralegal with 3 years of experience in Probate, Estate Administration, and Inheritance and Estate Taxes. He has a bachelor’s degree from Stevens Institute of Technology.
Theresa Delmastro
Theresa has been with Manna Helmy law Group since 2017 but was first introduced to the firm years prior to that as a client, assisting her parents in their estate planning affairs. Theresa is the office manager and administrative assistant.
Deena Aselta
Deena has been a legal assistant/paralegal for 26 years. She has worked in the estate administration, estate planning and bankruptcy fields throughout her legal career. Deena is a graduate of Montclair State University and Bergen Community College and holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Associate Degree. Deena is a Bergen County native and lives in Bergen County with her husband and two dogs.
